Now underway, Scranton Tomorrow’s Deck the Downtown campaign and event series celebrates PNC Bank as its presenting sponsor for the fifth consecutive year. The program encourages everyone to shop, dine and celebrate local through Jan. 3, 2026.


“PNC Bank’s continued support demonstrates their commitment to the local business community and the important role small businesses play in our region’s economic vitality,” said Leslie Collins, president and CEO, Scranton Tomorrow. “We are deeply grateful for their investment in Deck the Downtown as presenting sponsor for a fifth consecutive year. Their support allows us to expand the program and deliver even more opportunities for people to shop, dine and celebrate local.”


Liz Baldi, business development director, Scranton Tomorrow, said this year’s program is off to a great start. “We’re inspired by the enthusiasm of our business community,” she said. “With a record number of businesses participating, more holiday windows are lighting up downtown, more special offers are available and there are even more ways to enjoy the magic of supporting local.”


Campaign Highlights


  • Light Up Downtown Scranton: The Holiday Window Showcase is a friendly competition among downtown businesses, with a secret panel of judges awarding prizes for the best displays in multiple categories. The winners will be announced on Friday, Dec. 5, at 5 p.m. at the Lackawanna County Tree Lighting Ceremony on Courthouse Square. Everyone in the community is invited to celebrate with the winners, and to explore the displays by car or on foot through Jan. 3, 2026. Click here for a list of displays!


  • From Scranton, With Love: Local business owners share their top gift picks for the season in a new Holiday Gift Guide available at scrantontomorrow.org. Explore categories such as Gifts for Anyone, Gifts for Kids, Gifts Under $50, Handmade Gifts and more!   • Celebrate 25 Days of Downtown: Through Dec. 25, this social media campaign features a different business daily on Scranton Tomorrow’s Facebook and Instagram pages. Tributes include testimonials, videos, and photos of business owners to highlight the significant impact of local businesses in the community.


  • Home for the Holidays: Through Dec. 12, college students in Scranton enjoy special incentives and promotions from participating businesses with presentation of valid student ID during.


  • Deck the Downtown Shop Around: On Thursday, Dec. 11, from 5 to 9 p.m. enjoy extended hours at participating shops and restaurants, free parking after 5 p.m., courtesy of Car Park Scranton, and a visit from Santa at the holiday shop around.
